Still a baby, this is all primary fruit with gorgeous floral violets, a sweet leather note and a subtle savoriness. The palate is intense and a little less complex than the nose. Burly and intense, with wonderful acidity and firmly grained tannin this will do well with 5+ more years of bottle refinement.

Borderline criminal to be opened this young, it pours a deep garnet all the way to the rim. Aromas of cherry liqueur, grilled herbs, sandalwood, licorice, tobacco and earth. Gripping tannins and lively acidity.

Deep purple color, muted bouquet of dark cherry, mushroom and wet cedar. Well balanced with modest acidity and mature fruit. Good balance with short finish that evolved after the wine had been opened for more than an hour. Nearing maturity but lovely as the evening progressed.
