Wow... Check out the nose: boiled beets, hard boiled dark egg yolk, boiled potato skins, distant bresaola, old Washington apples' skin... Thank you, Andrew at Red Red Wine, Annapolis, MD

This needs a lot of air. First night smelled mostly of hummus and cumin. I was looking for pita chips to dip in it. Night two it was much better, with perfumey, tangy ripe berries, good acids, and good balance, though an unusual earthy note appeared in the finish.

Lightning struck eucalyptus bark - what a nose!

Licorice, mint, basil. Tar, tobacco, burnt barrel. This is a wine that will always calm my pre race jitters. The vintage was amazing.
Salted boysenberry popsicle sticks end this wine with a long, long lasting finish.

Very good with tannins the first night. Second night it has mellowed out a lot and I found it too soft.

Giving benefit of the doubt to a producer I really like. Definitely a rustic powerhouse, but pretty tight now. The '08 was softer and ready but this bottle needs time. Glad I have more of this.
