Awesome wine. Like a baby Hermitage Blanc. Nose of yellow fruits, minerals and loads of gras. Gorgeous depth. Almost a pastry like element as well. Elegant, nimble and super fresh with great purity and depth. Elegant and balanced with juicy fruit and nervy intense minerality. Juicy and explosive with a long lingering finish. Really stays with you.

@delectable This is marsanne roussanne. A white wine. Not Syrah which is red. Nice apricotty fruit. Mineral. Some honey.

Dark, heavily oxidized and DOA. Recent Library release- perhaps some bottle variation, as a few here give it good reviews, while several on CellarTracker also said it was gone, I do enjoy some oxidative wines, but this was not intended to be and has little acid or energy to back it up. This is my first GL dud, as all the GL reds I have tried have been outstanding. This was the 2nd bottle with a similar issue and waited to post in case the first happened to be a one off clunker. Not so.

Nose is floral/tropical.

Palate is honey and cantaloupe.

As this opens its quite elegant. Not a great wine. But as the English would say lovely. Palate has apricot pits and almost diluted honey. Not an in your face honey. But an elegant one.

Bought from fass selections.
