Marked Tree Red Shiraz
Classic murrumbatman Shiraz. Alex McKay's masterpiece wines. Spicy and floral. Smooth like velvet and murrumbatman pink decomposed granite salty minerality. If you can score some drink it with special people. 13.2 alc . this was a 375 ml but retains freshness under screw cap. Cheers

Mar 2nd, 2018Heard great things about this value shiraz and didnt dissapoint. It is really quality shiraz and it is like baby canokilla. Good fragrant with dark berry and subtle minerality. The tannin is fine and quite a complex wine. Real good value for money

Feb 24th, 2017Very good value for money. In a little hole as it is heading into more developed tertiary characters. Hold for a year or two.

Jul 10th, 2016Brilliant VFM. Aging into its fourth year and so well balanced. Med bodied but with great length on the palate = the bottle evaporated in record time. Excellent.

Mar 13th, 2016Crisp, med bodied refreshing cool climate crunchy Shiraz. Better on the second night. I can see this being delicious ever so slightly chilled at a Summer BBQ. Drink now or hold for 3-5 years.

Sep 30th, 2015Ok, this is getting silly now. How can a wine costing so little deliver so much seven years down the track? Still plenty of years left in the tank. This type of wine is so delicious and satisfying that you could almost inhale it.

Apr 20th, 2015Ruddy heck this is good and this is his cheaper Shiraz. Ten years young and storming along with no signs of bricking on the rim, just a subtle softening of the primary colours. Wonderfully balanced at this stage, a true medium bodied cool climate Shiraz. Drink now or hold for another ten years for tertiary flavours. Excellent!
