A time-bomb sort of wine. Starts out simple and tart, almost like a Chianti. Then it got kind of mean and astringent. As if the wine itself had become a hungry, on edge, asking for food. Fed the beast pizza, which steered it into benevolent "animale" territory. Heartily recommended for natural wine doubters; this wine was/is ALIVE, and that energy is what I look for in non-interventionist wine (more so than flavor). Bought at Frankly Wines, NYC... $39?
