Cobaw Ridge
Syrah
Drinking superbly. Some whole bunch, peppery and wild. Mellow and really lovely Syrah. Feels quite old world in charm and weight.

Dec 14th, 2015Whole bunch/green component coming through strongly. Old world weight and taste - peppery and spicy. Good pure fruit, but needs time to blend with the tannin and herbaceous notes.

Really interesting. Opening well with a decant. Dark and complex with a strong eucalyptal influence.

Feb 2nd, 2016Frickin’ fantastic, probably the best wine of the weekend. Every flavor characteristic that you would expect of a Syrah, but amplified! Tasting great but could definitely go for years more!

Oct 9th, 20182006. This is spectacular for the price. punching like a $120+ bottle. For $45. 11+ yrs bottle age and still so fresh and grippy. Plenty of tannin still gripping the opulent round fruit to give really good overall balance. The spine of tannin and acid gives massive length to pure berry fruit. Even a 95-96?
