The 2016 Chardonnay has a more backward, perhaps more mineral-driven nose than the 2015, lighter yet very well defined and revealing touches of struck flint with time. The fresh, vibrant palate is well balanced, displaying a fine bead of acidity and leading to an elegant finish that just needs to develop more personality. Still a quality Chardonnay, though. (Neal Martin, Vinous, November 2016).

Thick but not too oaked. Lots of hints of Cream butter. High in citrus and ripe apples. A nose to keep sniffing.

Chardonnay 12: 12m in oak. 10% new oak. Melon, peach, creamy, quite defined oak. Quite toasted, but not overt. Big mouthfeel, med to full, very rich fruit and distinct toasty notes. A little too overt. 89+

Green apple, pear, buttered toast. On the palate, unripe apple, lemon and pepper. A little too much oak.
