Gideon Beinstock produces some of the worlds most exciting wines and this vintage has now finally entered the plateau of pleasurable drinking. Complex and layered with smoke and tarry notes.

Wow, a beautiful and harmonious wine with complex aromas of ripe berry fruit, ripe cherries and violet; anise, clove; pipe tobacco, crushed stone and ripe earth, a touch of mineral-driven funk. Medium body, Medium tannin, medium+ acidity, all in balance. Light on it’s feet but a serious wine with a long finish. Would love to taste again in 3-5 years to see where things go.

Ruby colored Syrah, tannic cherries but goes down smooth.

Earthy, savoury and spicy, this is classically crafted Syrah, with Indian long pepper, cloves and a great stony component adding depth to its elegant, fresh and juicy fruit profile. Great tannins and an acidity allowing flavors to really stretch on the all dry finish. Long life ahead here. 94+?

Lighter, wild Syrah expression, still serious though, absence of fruit replaced with minerality and tannin for yonks

Floral and fragrant on the nose with lifted dark fruits and a whiff of VA. Solid structure and loaded with minerality, this will need another few years to unfold, as it's still on the "simple" side, yet with loads in reserve. Just wait!

One of the top ten most minerally reds I've had. Big fleshy wine despite the 12.5 alc or the lack of fruitiness, but structured by the hard flavors. Serious Syrah, a little joking on the label text, no humor in the wine. Deadly serious.

Purity purity purity. Farming and winemaking so deep in the soul of the earth you can feel and sense it at every turn. Every drop of this wine is blood sweat and tears. Not many can achieve such AND it’s delicious and not at all big or overripe. Well done.
