This was really delicious. Amazingly youthful still, with loads of dark fruit, some tannins remaining, and good acid. Paired beautifully with pork chops and roasted vegetables. Plenty of life ahead but this felt like prime drinking to me.

Awesome '99 CdP. Stewed berries, meat, olives, and barn. Long finish. More northern Rhone savoury than expected... but I'm applauding not complaining.
