Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend

Berry good. Deep and dark like a Joseph Conrad novel but with a happy ending.

1990 vintage. Still spicy and some fruit

Fresh green herbs, sour cherry, some forest floor. Long finish with lively tannins. #bordeaux #saint-emilion

Barnyard funk, wetsuit, scuba gear in general. Check that on the bucket list

Good Kosher Bordeaux. Kosher but tastes like Bordeaux. At the end of its life but has a correct Bordeaux flavor. Nothing remarkable but acceptable.

Everything about this wine is understated, but all the components are perfectly in balance. Roses with a hint of leather on the nose. Light red fruit on front. Medium tannic structure with silky mouth feel. Some gravelly high notes kick in mid palate, but they fade into a smooth finish.

This wine doesn’t need any more aging. It’s complete. I’d rate higher except that it fades fast. Let it breathe in the bottle. Do not decant.

Fairly earthy but also quite smooth. Tastes like vanilla and dark fruit.
