St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend
St. Émilion, Libournais, Bordeaux, France
Dark and brooding though maintains a good degree of elegance. Grippy on finish. Can't miss this one.

This was 2nd bottle in last year & drank much better- much firmer iron/ mineral base out of which all that pretty fruit/cassis springs forth. Would have have drank even better w larger stemware, so even more impressive..Definitely fruit forward but for a rock head like me, good fun. Thanksgiving part 2

Stewed plums. Quite weird but good mouth-feel.

Another great Classic Wine Happy Hour in the books! Always a treat to have a designated day each month where guys can pull out some unique bottles!
Very solid. Raspberries and a smoky/cigar taste. Great structure. One of the better 80's Bordeauxs I've had.

Aromas of cedar, cigar box, raspberries, nutmeg, leather, mushrooms, and currant jam. The nutmeg and leather continue on the palate with tobacco orange zest and tight, heavy tannins. The nose is just so enticing to come back to. Probably will peak in 5-8 years.
