Lune d'Argent White Bordeaux Blend

I think this is stellar for $20! I paired it with crab au gratin and felt it married well with the richness of the dish

Very mild but good white Bordeaux. Creamy flavor with some lemon, and with a nice citrus nose.

Lemon peel, peach, persimmon, and slate. Medium plus acidity. Medium body.

70/30 Semillon/SB blend sourced from Sauternes, aged in barrique.
Quite closed first with matchstick reduction, shows nice melon and grapefruit after some time, with a touch of wax. Rich & waxy, soft mouthfeel with more grapefruit and a lemony acidity nicely piercing the texture. Decent length and good balance but lacks real depth or precision. Nice drinking nevertheless.

Great house white which is not to say it isn’t an amazing wine overall for any occasion.

Not too much going on

Lush grapefruit and peach. A complex and lovely wine.

Friday evening cooking

70Sem/30SB. Tiny SB aromatics hiding in the background. There's a softness to this wine that I didn't expect and it didn't make me think of Sem. Enjoyable.
