Cuvée Tardive Fleurie Gamay

2014. Barrel sample, needed about three days in a decanter to soften the tannins, purple color, full of fruit, dead-on Gamay, a serious version though, will be picking this wine up on release and aging it a decade.

This is a structured gamay. Good acidity, earth and funk but with darker fruit.

From 375ml.

Oooh baby. Violet. Crushed rocks, pepper, mint, game and strawberry. Day 2: so much power and concentration of fruit.

Solid, delicious, ripe and not a whiff of funk.... This is benchmark Gamay. Genius.

This came alive with charcuterie! Less tart than one might expect.
