Aug 17th, 2017I seldom drink rosé, unless it’s champagne of course, but the appelaing recipe and heritage of Clos Cibonne caught my intention.
The Cuvée Prestige Caroline is a very pleasing rosé indeed, the elevage in oak adds a comforting and balance complexity, taking those fresh red fruit character and adding a well portioned chunk of vanilla whipped cream to the canvas, a broad texture is gracefully being led by a fresh spine, creating a balanced interplay throughout the finish.

An amazing Provençal rose. Pinkish orange in colour. Sap, orange zest, spice, raspberries.

May 24th, 2016This bottling offers more complexity and salty flor character than the regular cuvée, but at the expense of a bit of charm. It was still very good with Cinnamon's ham, asparagus and cheddar quiche. More ham pairings to come... Our Easter roast almost weighed as much as a case of Champagne!
