Dark tawny with reddish rims. Almost opaque. Nice nose. Notes of black cherries, some black licorice, blueberries pepper, and some dark dry earth. Has a heavy presence in the mouth with structure dominating the modest sweet fruit in the background. I would say drink these up as the fruit is dry and fading, leaving a dry and wispy finish.

Jun 10th, 2019Dark garnet. Barely translucent. In the nose, notes of black cherries, anise, mocha, menthol and cedar. Chewy in the mouth, with good balance of rich fruit and somewhat resolved tannins. Good finish.

Velvet tannins, a bit of funk when first opened... cherries acidity and still vibrant.. the color is showing the wine age but it is dark with brownish tints at the edges.. this should taste better with food
