Saint-Amour Gamay
Smells like dirt, bugs, and carbonic maceration. Plenty of bret. Bright, crisp acidity with a juicy palate of red fruits and more earth. Despite hail being a major issue in 2016 there’s better balance here at 12.5% than the ‘15 at 14.5%

Nov 24th, 2018Much better nose than the Billards. Pure deep fruit, juicy and tangy palate, a bit of heat. Heady fruit. Juicy. Not bad. Not great.

Feb 18th, 2018Not a typical gamay. Heavier. Deep stone fruit character instead of the vibrant strawberry or raspberry. Juicy, viscous. Anise in the aftertaste.
