It’s good, but I could get a better wine for the amount of money this cost. There’s not much structure, and is a very safely made wine. My wife bought it because she said “I thought it was expensive and it had an ugly label.” We both tasted it blind, and guessed it was a $20-$30 bottle.

NOSE: Cassis, blueberries, violet, graphite, raspberry leaf, leather, a tiny dash of molasses, mountain stream.

TASTE: fruity cassis and blueberry and blackberry and a little sweet molasses, plum, smooth tannins come across as bitter stone on the finish. A tiny bit of mint. Good! 91-92. Not worth the price (to me), and simpler than I remembered, but good stuff.

Deep red fruits - rich and earthy. Full bodied and not as spicy as I anticipated.
Lovely and flavorful.

Dark red fruits, soft tannins, chocolate and coffee on the nose and palate. This should pair well with grilled lamb!
