Blend of about 39% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Petit Verdot with the rest Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak, deep Ruby, purple edges with aromas of dark red fruits, oak and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and currants with cacao and herb spice. Full dusty tannins, opens nicely, long finish ending with fruit, oak, vanilla spice and mineral character. Nice! Drinking well now, will still age.

Nice merlot-dominated blend from Napa. A little one-dimensional. I’ll give it a few hours and see how it develops.

Gorgeous black cherry licorice aromas lead you to flavors of rich mixed berries, a hint of baking spice, dried herbs & juicy plums. The finish started out surprisingly lingering with dried cherries & Leather... the longer it was open, the shorter the finish became. Great wine & still had a youthful splash. 🙌🏽

So incredibly tannic, but that's their style. A barrage of black fruit- currants, blackberries and a pretty decent level of acidity. Don't bother opening for at least another 5-8 years.

Blackberry, tobacco, anise. Big tannins...broader shoulders than I expected. Think I need a water crisp.

Decanted this 2006 for a day before drinking. I did taste when I first opened and it was good but after a day it was soft and luscious in the mouth and tasted precisely like what it is, a merlot driven Bordeaux. It paired beautifully with a hearty beef stew and then was great on its own.
