Solid. Hit and miss with this winery. I've liked it 2/3 times I've tried it. This 2007 vintage is a good one.

2012 vintage. Would recommend decanting for at least 30+ mins. Opened up very nicely.

First choice tonight was actually an 07 Ch Montelena Estate but it opened in a worrisome fashion so I grabbed this, hoping it wasn't too tight and young. It wasn't. Soft, smooth, accessible, and with delightful structure and concentration. Tannins and finish are both subtle. Very well made. A lucky grab at the last minute.

We let it open for about an hour and it was perfect. Smooth and well balanced. Dark currant, blackberry and plum with finish of anise. So yummy!
