So intense. Some game and herb and muscle makes this reminiscent of light cornas, but with an explosion of generous, uniquely Beaujolais fruit. Licorice and quinquina tonic. 9.4+

This wine is revelatory. I have not had a Beaujolais that has aged so well or taken on such a unique character. The intense, ripe, tangy Gamay fruit is there, but is both mellowed a bit and conversely is very intense. Also, of course, loads of crushed granite. In the mouth, it has more of a Bordeaux or Burgundy mouthfeel, not hard crunchy Beaujolais. Great acidity and length. Wonderful purity.

Takes and hour but stunning nose, ash, tar, floral, damson, juicy and dense, so pure, elegantly textures. So fresh. Mint, amazing density. Hugely fresh and sweet.

Wow. SO good. I don’t know what someone would want with carbonic bojo compared to this; so much more clean, expressive, structured. Has the character, wild elegance and terroir of burgundy. This vineyard is amazing. Consistently so rocky and granitic, full of austere and noble blackberry fruit, amazing sappy concentration. Handles the heat of the vintage with Jedi mastery, yielding a wine with good acid, fantastic fruit and incredible mineral structure.

A brooding nose of dark fruits and earth with no signs of alcohol. Full body but the acidity keeps things in line. A mixture of red and blue fruit, and iron all surrounded by a core of juiciness. An easy cellar candidate .

Upon opening, stable scents, but so close to the meadow and to decomposing grass that the manure smell is actually wonderful. This shapeshifts into a bit of beef jerky. And then after that, there is just an avalanche of red and purple fruit. On the nose and the palate. Black plums and cherries, but only just-ripe. Herbs, oriental spices, amaaazing concentration, so crystalline and pure. Serious tannins for gamay. Really next level stuff. And from a vintage I don’t even care for.

Heavenly nose, spice, red cherry, blackberry, a sick perfume, smells like a great Burgundy. Earthy, mineral, mint, just so evocative. Gorgeous but closed. Concentrated and pure, elegant, only showing 15% of its fruit. Will open. Super earthy and complex. But needs one hour.

Really good for a ’15 Bojo. Massively extracted, but tannins completely under control. Nose has smoky crushed granite and dark, oozy, tangy berries. The barest hint of Brett adds complexity. Tangy, athletic, and mouthfilling. Can’t help but smack your lips. Great concentration. So unique. Still youthful. Years to go.

Gorgeous nose of mulch, cranberry bog, black cherries and loads of minerals. Subtle and gorgeous. Palate is rich and ripe and like Gamay boiled down to its essence. Black cherry and blackberry fruit but also seems a bit closed in on itself. Likely needs 2-3 hours to come around. This is like Thivin’s Monfortino. Will come back to this as besides initial blast of fruit and trailing off mineral finish. Very nice but I’m sure there is more.
