Cooked plum and smoky chocolate covered raisin notes, dark mud, aloe leaf, with black cherry notes on the nose, reveal a tight green licorice bound wine full of mint, rosemary, bitters, rose petals, clay, orange peel. Wait!!! Feels like I am drinking Barolo! Anyway, a nice wine, unusual, multi-faceted, a unique beast. For a birthday wine, a little too much to absorb. Probably a symptom of the distractions inherent in a love struck moment meant for so much more than over analyzing wine. Wine! I should slap you! Why doesn't this wine come in a bag?

Smoke, cinnamon, cloves, oak, teriyaki.
Although there’s some dark plummy fruit present, I find this a tad gloomy and muddy. Lacking some freshness and vigor. So, I’d drink this sooner rather than later.

Soft, plummy, powdery mouthfeel. Ultraripe tannines. Velvety, friendly and charming. No real depth nor complexity, yet a certified crowdpleaser. Fine.

Fruit BOMB. Very modern style...extreme cherry, berry, cassis & leather. Highly alcoholic taste, short finish. Wouldn't have guessed a St. Emilion.
