This is a wonderful 18 year old sweet wine from Bordeaux.
Showing lemons, citrus, yellow apples, pears, pineapples, honey and light earth.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Sweet on the palate and well balanced with nice complexity.
Has a lovely nose that I really enjoyed. Kept on smelling on it for a long time.
Drinking wonderfully now, and will continues to age nicely in the next 20 years.
A tasty wine that doesn't need food at all, but will pair very nicely with Foie Gras.
A blend of mostly Sémillon with Sauvignon Blanc.
14% alcohol by volume.

A great vintage for this producer, the wine is excellent now and likely to improve of course; gold color with a highly viscous heavy swirl; nose is cremes, desserts, caramelized nuts, tropical fruit, and honey, and a slight minerality; mouthcovering sumptuous taste with a fresh acidity to keep the backbone.

The taste of this beeswax, honey and yellow flowers nectar literally immediately caused a smile to form on my face after the first sip. Rare.

Annual guys WTF Christmas party with spouses. Lots of great wine. I’ll post my highlights with pics I got.
A truly wonderful bottle of Sauternes that is exceptional now, and may even improve with further age. Checks all the boxes...honeyed apricot, orange blossom and brown sugar roasted cashews aromatics. So flavor packed and pure on the palate revealing white peach, hazelnuts, and honeysuckle.
