Why does this smell and taste like a New Zealand Sauvignon. I don’t trust the bar tender.

This is okay. Loads of vanilla but enough acidity it’s not overwhelming

Really enjoyable WA Chard with baked buttery apple notes and moderate oak that takes backstage. Velvety body with almost a glycerin viscosity. Under $20 here in CT, but you can probably find it for $15 or under in your state. Definitely worth picking up at either price.

Smooth and oaky but not too much. Easy drink, was also good in shrimp pasta sauce

Straw gold in color. Butterscotch and pineapple on the nose; echoed on the rich palate. Decidedly in the California buttery style, though not as intense from a balloon glass as from a narrow coupe. Acidity is medium minus, but good for rich "white wine" foods. A cream sauce poultry dish would be ideal. Hint of spice on the lengthy finish. Drink now.

On the nose all I was getting was oak, butter and clove with no signs of fruit. On the palate I got those same notes with some lovely fruit notes of apples and lemon zest. Smooth and round, medium-plus body with a long finish.
