Columbia Valley Merlot

Oldest winery in Washington with some of the most mature vineyards in the Columbia Valley. A blend of mostly Merlot with Syrah and other grapes. Dark Ruby with ripe berry fruit and sweet spice aromas. On the palate simple flavors of cherry and blackberry, a touch jammy, with leather and cacao, sweet soft tannins on a medium finish. Good value!

very under whelming for that vineyard. Meh.

Rube red in color. Fruit on the nose and tongue with a chalky finish. Good everyday wine. 

Too oaky, very bold. I like the winery but this is a miss for me.

Fruit nose plum and dark fruit flavors, a little harsh finish. Fine for the price.

Really excited to drink this as my first decent wine in my Riedel...getting lots of pepper and spice on the nose, which is really exciting. I want to say I get more of a wood smell when I swirl it, like an oak tree. Spicy on the palate. I’m really not getting much more complexity than that, though. Would drink again regardless.

80% Merlot, 13% Syrah, 2% Mourvedre, 1% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec, 1% Grenache, 1% Pinot Noir

13.5% ABV

Fruity and very tasty glou glou, gentle tannin, lil graphite note. Fantastic for $15.

Could use more Rhone varietal %, but thats just me ;)

Nice mild table wine. Called a Merlot bit actually a blend. 80% merlot. Cherry notes.
