The nose is almost champagne-y. Taste is super bright and acidic, very green-apple-juicy-freshness/tartness. Would buy again in a heartbeat as both a solo sipper as well as to pair with foods. Bonus - Michael loves it! — a year ago

Love the smell on this - it has that buttery-ness that definitely evokes “Chardonnay”, and a nice fruit smell. Easy to drink, and more flavor than I expected from the nose. Would love this with some scallops, but excited to have it with my Korean dinner. — 5 years ago

The nose on this is super sweet - vanilla? Getting vanilla, maybe honeysuckle while sipping. Tasty, but too sweet for me. This half bottle is from Michael’s co-worker to mark the end of the school year. — 5 years ago

Up front there isn’t much (other than a seltzer-like effervescent taste), but the later notes are SUPER funky/cheesy, which I love. Wish it had more complexity, though. Made for a great poulet au vinagre sauce. — 5 years ago

Finishing the rest of the bottle 5 days later, and am enjoying it more now. I like the colder temperature (mine is fridge temp, so probably too cold!) and maybe the extra breathing changed the taste? I’m getting some light sweetness/grape flavor now.

Not at all happy with this Chenin Blanc - least favorite one I’ve tried so far. Nose is cloyingly sweet and then the wine tastes of rubber and salt. Some cheese maybe? I’m getting salt and funk. But I’d much rather eat a good cheese then. Not surprised this wine is from central California, I’ve had bad luck (e.g. rubbery wines) from there. Drinking it more I am getting a raw chicken taste. — 4 years ago

Really excited to drink this as my first decent wine in my Riedel...getting lots of pepper and spice on the nose, which is really exciting. I want to say I get more of a wood smell when I swirl it, like an oak tree. Spicy on the palate. I’m really not getting much more complexity than that, though. Would drink again regardless. — 5 years ago

Love the aroma on this. I get a bit of dry, but also sweet? My gut said caramel, but turns out expert smelling notes ascribe more cherry/strawberry. Taste-wise, definitely get some strawberry at first, but closes with some dryness. Very drinkable, not too heavy. Really pretty raspberry color in my glass. — 5 years ago

The nose on this is more complex than my cheap wines, which I love. There’s an underlying scent (stone? Mineral?) and then this really fruity melody that hits a bunch of sweet notes at once. It’s layered like a good perfume. Swirling totally brings out a different nose that’s more balanced, like a mix of the two notes from before. The legs fit the flavor profile - they are viscous and slow, which reflects the sweetness of the wine. The taste is a punch of fruity umami, which is different from the much more sweetness-forward sip I got when I first uncorked it. This is such a fun wine and I’ve been able to successfully pair it with a wide variety of foods. Sommelier’s suggestion of sushi was an outstanding pairing, too. — 5 years ago

Love this Bordeaux blend. The smell is awesome - lightly sweet - and I love the dryness of the wine on the palate. Still a little bit of fruit though, which I like. Great for our Bastille Day cheese board (except for the salmon eggs - it highlighted their strong salt flavor) and would buy again for a French-themed meal. — 5 years ago

I’m not getting the “liquorice aromas” on the nose, nor much of the fruit taste. Dry yet soft is my impression. This is a good generic dinner wine. — 5 years ago
