Applesauce and minerals play. Bumblebees and such swarm round and about which gives this wine buzz but as much as 2016...Cause that year...Acid spoke more in 2016 which I kick myself for not documenting here: 2016 was magic. but what the heck here 2017 is yup new world balanced and fun and maybe earthier gulper! All in all Birichino does good things

Not at all happy with this Chenin Blanc - least favorite one I’ve tried so far. Nose is cloyingly sweet and then the wine tastes of rubber and salt. Some cheese maybe? I’m getting salt and funk. But I’d much rather eat a good cheese then. Not surprised this wine is from central California, I’ve had bad luck (e.g. rubbery wines) from there. Drinking it more I am getting a raw chicken taste.

Wow! Pure summer in a glass...who drinks rose..any rose..when this Chenin Blanc is available. Utterly crushable..lemon, lime, yuzu...capable of removing a couple coats of enamel with the electric acidity. Low ABV..no noticeable oak. Kicking myself that I only bought 2. In the running for bargain of the year!

Neutral barrel aged and light. A bit floral at the hind palate but still light overall and not crisp but a bit bright. Versatile wine. We are serving it as the white at our wedding.
