Chateau Ste. Michelle
Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark purple in color with a short purple rim.
Fruity on the nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward.
Showing blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, oak, vanilla and black pepper.
Short finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 9 year old Cabernet Sauvignon is past its prime, but still drinkable.
A simple Cabernet from Washington State. Soft and smooth, but not as good as their Indian Wells version.
Easy drinking and good for parties.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
87 Points.

Recommended by the Houston Costco wine stocker as a very popular wine. Not complex but palatable for the under $15 price.

Superlative QPR #columbiavalley #cabernetsauvignon from this big volume producer. Costco had this at 94 points, though I can’t remember from which source. It’s not nearly that good, but for $10 it features good cassis, blackberry concentrated aroma, understated coffee and chocolate notes - good tartness balanced by robust fruit, velvety tannins. This one gets better after a day in the wine fridge from uncorking - excellent mid-week Cab.
