Slightly viscous, pronounced richness, toast, clementine, lemon rind. It was delicious with grilled salmon. And the family particularly liked the bottle, to the extent that counts for anything.

Jul 18th, 2019Most people don't cellar California Chardonnay. But I do. And this is an example why. Apparently I'm a bit old fashioned in my style. But the oak on this yields a rich gold color, creamy (ok malic) nose with a balanced round mouthful. Yes it's buttery. But only contemporists care. The acid is balanced. Clearly a sur lies wine. At 14 years old, there is still time to cellar and enjoy.
