Shitty vintage, which presented so well. Soft, round and very approachable.

Unmistakably Bordeaux- dusty Berry fruits on nose. Medium weight. Very good for a Grand Bourgeois ie not a classed growth. Doing it comfortably at 16 years. With air- more Capsicum and astringent notes A nice wine but questionable if it would benefit from further cellaring.

2001. Excellent sociando. Signature typique du vin. Poivron vert...craie et fraicheur.

Wow....wasn't sure about this one here in 2017, but yowza its delightful. Deep, dark, lots of fruit and just a touch of tannins remain. Happy I have 2 more to share! Effe....this is one Bordeaux even you would like!

Fruity on the nose, rich full body, soft tannins, black currant, ripe plums, pencil shaving, spicy pepper. Yum! At 28-50 mag tasting.

Typical Medoc nose and palate with hay and notes of black fruits and cedar. Still tannic and angular in structure. Long acidic finish. Reminds me why I moved to burgs. Decanted for next day. Latham tasting. 8/12/16. Next day more balanced and resolved into more harmonious whole. Cedar a bit more muted. So need more years! Up the score.

Great textbook, traditional Bordeaux in all the right ways.

This bottle was in a great, great place--lots of expressive floral notes like iris and violet, still plenty of blueberry, blackberry, and cherry fruit, refreshing green notes like fresh cut herbs, green bell pepper, and pencil shavings. Aromatic, and integrated, this has richness but also a Loire-like restraint. Like a swing and a hit right from the sweet spot.
