Dec 7th, 2021Deep garnet hue with high saturation. Aromas of blackberry, cherry, lavender, pepper, plum, sage, and tar. Full body with full, robust tannins and medium-plus acidity. Palate adds hints of minerals and tomato. A deep, aromatic, complex red with a clean, balanced finish. A very good entreé into Pessac-Léognan.

Strong tannins that soften the longer this wine breathes. 60/40 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend, respectively. This wine may be ‘le petit’ but it has a strong voice of its own. Vintage 2014. ABV 13.5%.

Forgot to make notes about it when I was drinking it. However, I do remember that it was excellent. Would definitely drink again.

Dark fruit, earth, plum, tobacco, black vanilla tea, and leather on the nose. More black fruit, currant, cassis, coffee, and silky refined tannins on the palate. 60% cab and 40% merlot with 13.5% alcohol. Slight rim variation with high tearing. Paired with Kung Pao Asian cuisine.
