Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

Really nice showing, drinking at peak with red currant and sous bois notes. Super value.

2018 vintage. One of the last vintages for this Château, now integrated ( together with Château Bardis) in Château Charmail, when Bernard d'Hallouin sold 66% of Charmail to external investors in 2021, with the aim to recreate "le grand Charmail". Needs a bit of time to open up, better the next day, decanting recommended. Another fine Haut-Médoc value, with ripe fruit, smooth tannin, well-integrated oak and good length. Abv. 14%. There is still some ageing potential here.

This vintage seems to be getting better over time.
