This was the Longue Garde cuvee. Better the second day, or just Garde it for Longue-er. Similar to the regular Bandol but with more heft and a pronounced topnote of cedar.

Bold black fruit and earthy still with serious tannins to chew and some Port-like sweetness. Takes a loooong time for Mourvèdre to come around but when it does you never forget the experience.

Wow. Just wow. One for the cellar. 100% Mourvèdre from the oldest vines. Only made in the best years. Dense, chewy, with aromas of black olive, herbs, beef, smoke, and stewed black fruit.
