Bandol Mourvedre - Cinsault Rosé Blend

Slightly muted. Do not think it is corked, but not as expressive as I hoped and as previous notes indicate.

Grapefruit caramel, orange at the rim. A touch oxygen.

A rich salmon pink color. Alpine strawberry and brightness. Very good rose

May 8th, 2021This is no frivolous poolside sipper—a traditional Bandol benchmark, savory and dry, intense and layered flavors keep deepening and integrating with age. Beautiful burnished copper / salmon color, warming flavors of herbs and flowers complement ripe red berries and pit fruit. Perfect for the transitional season between winter and spring

Full bodied rosé. Pomelo, strawberry, guava, roses, garrigue. Spicy too. Nice!

deep burnt orange, reminiscent of a sunset; strawberry, peach, wet stones, garrigue, and floral notes; medium+ body, dry, zippy acidity, 14% ABV; blend is majority Mourvèdre but also contains Cinsault and Grenache, short maceration on the skins, fermented at low temperature, aged in stainless steel; the estate has been owned by the Portalis family since before the French Revolution, a standard bearer for Bandol, a Neal Rosenthal import; $30

Consistent. These are better with age. But still yummy.
