Very good, very youthful, very pauillac. This 99 is in a great place to start drinking now. Nearly 20 years and it is beautifully evolved yet very fresh. Thanks @Nathaniel DiMaggio

The fruit was still there but I doubt for long. The acidity was weak but it not not get in the way of enjoying it.

Bought this bottle back on release 15 years ago or so, looked at it once a year or so, decided it was finally time, opened and decanted it, enjoyed it with a steak and baked potato, classic wine, classic wine story, what more is there to say? (Except quick tasting notes: great balance; nice acid and firm tannins, game, tea, cedar, vanilla oak, crushed berries)

Surprisingly still dark purple at age 20. Red currant and spice with a medium finish.

Odd bottle, very new worldly, in a derogatory way. Something wrong here.

The wine has aged magnificently! We opened this to celebrate our 32nd anniversary with friends and we were not disappointed.
