Baron de Pichon-Longueville Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend

Love this wine! I called it a 96 pichon but I thought it was lalande. Nevertheless it was unmistakably 90s pauillac in every way. Beautiful wine. Makes me realize how much I love Bordeaux

Aromatic and ready to drink

Graphite, leather, tobacco and spice layered over black cherries.

Short but fun

1996 in magnum Older than I expected. No incursion of stains on the sides of cork. Fills high shoulder. A bit flat. I have one more hoping for better

Feminine lines, warm and inviting, very lush.

Amazing stuff

1996 vintage. Multiple (6) bottles tasted 1hr, 2hrs and 4 hrs after decanting. Kinda brusque and pushy currently. Bruising and lacking finesse/manners. Tastes like it will go steady at this level for another 5 years or so...where it goes after that...? 4.4.23.

Classic. Awesome Bordeaux. Still on the upswing. A pleasure to smell and drink.

Really good for an off year. Chocolate and tabacco. Opened right up with almost no decant. .
