1999 vintage. Brilliant amber. Beautiful complex and remarkably fresh nose with dried apricot, honey, brown sugar and orange peel. Delicate and intense at the same time, the sweetness perfectly balanced by fresh acidity. This has class, complexity and length. Highly recommended.

Notes of Orange Marmalade and Apricot - some paraffin. On the palate full bodied, mouth filling with profound intensity. Ready to drink - in its sweet spot - no pun intended. 90% Semillon, 6% Sauvignon Blanc, and 4% Muscadelle. Great as an aperitif with Peppercorn Chicken Liver Pate. One of the 1001 Wines. From 750 ml bottle.

Lovely plastic pool toys and apricots. Really shined with food.

This 2em Cru Classe Barsac (Sauternes) is still a young child and it has at least a couple of decades to evolve, it has a pleasant gold color, I prefer these wines when they get amber ;-) attempting nose of botrytis, derived tropical pineapple, mango, apricot, honey and caramelized almonds, a full creamy body, with fresh sweetness and good supporting acidity, a sweet delicious finish, good today, probably delicious in a decade or two, my score 89, drink to 2038

Sauternes done the right way. Honeysuckle, candied apple, roasted almonds and petrol on the nose. Caramel, peach jam, vanilla and just a touch of citrusy acidity to keep it singing on the palate.

Rich and smooth with light grilled nuts notes around citrus fruits and little spicy touch - well balanced and pleasant 😉

Orangey gold. Layers of cinnamon, a little nutty, honeysuckle, apricot and a little dirty cellar. A touch of heat and a bit bitter. Moderate acidity (5/10) and light bodied. Seems to be a little bit over the hill.

An experience more than a great pleasure. Lacked the honey flavor and texture I enjoy in a Sauternes.
