Gamey, meaty, savory. Figs, chocolate. Intriguing. A very masculine wine. Drink this with meat with black pepper grilled over open fire.

The nose is profound and rich with black berries, dark cherries, bramble, coffee, oak, meat juice, black tea. This is a stunner! The palate is rich, broad, muscular without being vulgar. Great acid, some nice matter, dark cherries and bramble berries, coffee, a massive mid palate powering up a very long finish that starts with tannins, leaving a nice, caressing layer, coffee, black fruits and a tiny, savoury, meat juice note popping up in the rear. This is great and it's punching way above its price range (about 25 EUR or 30 USD in my favourite wine shop in Warsaw).

Delicious. Well balanced acidity and tannins. jammy. Paired well with Georgian dumplings and katchupuri. Would also be great on its own.

A fine saperavi. Aromas and flavors of dark fruit, spice, a bit of cocoa powder, and a hint of tobacco leaf. I've noted a bit of Georgian script on the label of this bottle, otherwise it's all in French! 100% Saperavi. 7/29/22.

I love a wine that’s dry and super fruity.

That’s not semi-sweet Sapsravi, it’s Saperavi Superieur (dry red)!
