Wow what an amazing buy. Complex nose, classic but complex. Right bank stunner. Cedar, truffle, cassis, olive tapenade , slate, salt, with even an iron complement. Quite structured with amazing tannins still rounding out the fruit. Dark berries, blueberries , ripe blackberries, great tannins to give this wine the structure it needs to keep on aging. Great now, would love to try again in another 5 years. 14.5%

1995 Bordeaux we had after Ami Bera retreat. Smooth and youthful- probably 10 years. Ripe Cherry , Medium Weight.

A tasty 2004 from Saint Emilion enjoyed with a goat cheese plate and believe it or not- homemade spaghetti & meatballs. It's fun to dig into the wine cellar for some old gems.

A sharper and more austere wine than the Simard or Fonbel.
