Juicy, modern, still very primary, great tannines. But... lacking panache, intellect, and nerve. Very tasty but playing safe, and not very Bdx-like. 89/100

Black berry, charcoal, smoke, ink, bell pepper. A workin’ man’s bordeaux. You need to give this enough air. Popped and poured four days ago, thought it was pretty tight and backwards. So, I put the cork back in and stuck it in the fridge. Four days later, this wine really sings.

An extra year in the cellar added depth and interest. Pretty good.
