Interesting nose. Initially spicy, red pepper, stony. In the palate still has this harsh middle plate which is rather sharp and bitter. Nose definitely better

Still young and beastly @ age 15; black fruit and herbs hiding under a tannic wave. 1 hr decant.

black purple, cherry, lots of herbs, minct, dark chocolate. Cederwood, tabacco. Lots of taninne, even though the wine is already 15 years old. bit grainy after taste. Not quite my wine.

Captivating, outdoorsey, autumnal nose of dried black cherries, horsestable, old leather, damp forest floor, dung and cold fireplace. Surprisingly elegant on the palate, mediumbodied, bright, acidic. Beautiful. And to think that this is 'only' the normal Montus...
Still one of the best QPR producers in the bizz.
