A look back to the 1973 Paris tasting same winery but this is the zin.
Keeping up aromas beautiful and nice notes of leather and tobacco.
Really and nice wine, kudos to Scott an Kelli who manage the cellar at Restaurant Press where it's on their winelist

Tasting like old Cab... super clean cork, and color still rich... very impressed by this aged Zin!

One of the oldest Zins I've had. Well made examples like this always seem to turn all stewed fruit and petrichor after a few decades in bottle. Very southern Rhône set of aromas. Enough acid and tannin to hold it together; unraveled steadily over a 2 hour window.

Probably best wine we had in the tasting. Still pretty light but peppery and with a bite of spice.
