Super dense nose of currants, tobacco and licorice. 15 years in it’s killing it. Plum, currant, floral flavors on the palate. Very smooth with clean finish.

Deep Ruby/Garnet Much less ripe fruit than 2001 Cherry, a bit subdued. Blackberry. Plum retro, great acid/tannin balance. This one took a minute to open up and show well but it became the favorite of the flight pretty unanimously when it did. Notes of clove coming in after about 20 minutes.
