Cherry overtones and leather and rubber undertones. A bit of acetaldehyde on the nose but pleasantly so. Bright cherries on the palate with a dusty, satisfying finish and that telltale hint of black pepper. Very approachable and has good typicity for a Syrah in the Languedoc.

*shrugs* good for everyday, or to bring to dinner.

Wine was ok. Label more interesting than what's inside.

Admittedly, I've been on quite Syrah kick lately. This one is dark, meaty, and earthy like you'd expect from biodynamic Minervois. This isn't a northern Rhone Syrah. It's much broader and more brutish than that. Not sure of the exact blend, but Syrah is the only listed grape. This is one if the better Languedoc wines I've had in a good long time.

Shepard's Pie wine. Bright acid typical of Minervois. Cherry fruit, tart and prickly. Crushed pepper, black. There is this earthy rubbery thing that dissipates over time. Not dirty biodynamie.

2011. Crazy extraction. Fun though. Herbal, cherry, pepper.

Deep and dark. Thought it was ripasso style in a blind.

I don't know what to think about this. Pushing the limits of strange. Interesting. Drinkable. Syrah? Hideous label. I think it might be biodynamic.
