Tasted blind from magnum. Dark regal red and almost opaque. Notes of black cherries, roasted meat, gravel, old leather and earth. Great old Bordeaux nose matches in the mouth. Silky and smooth. Guessed 59 Mouton.

I am blessed - this is a birth year wine for me - thank you so much @Bill Bender @David L - first time ever - the wine was stunning - partially because it truly was and partially because this was a gift of a birth year wine

The wine was so fresh and got even better after 45 minutes- this was brilliant- God only knows I was shocked to see some great friends for a early surprise birthday party but then to get to enjoy this was mind blowing

The wine for me was prefect - color was darker than you would expect - the smell was still intoxicating after being in the bottle that long - no signs of oxygenation - the presentation of the bottle was incredible- the taste aye the taste was absolutely so damn good - no signs of taste falling off at all

Thank you so much gents

From a good looking bottle with a top shoulder fill. Old red tawny color with light amber rims. Translucent. A nose that makes you smile. Notes of black cherry, forest floor, worn leather and a little barnyard funk that makes it exciting. In the mouth it’s still showing some fruit and it needs lots of air to soften its acidity and structure. By itself it’s good. With food it’s better. Don’t think it will improve with more age but given it was at its best after 8 hours of air, bottles like this tell you it can hold on for many more years.

Tasted blind, from magnum. Old dark ruby color. Amber rims. Notes of black cherry, spice, earth and something like pencil lead. Ok in the mouth, refined, but lacking energy. With the meal this was enjoyable but was somewhat sleepy all night. Likely at peak and given the magnum format, it's time to drink up 750s. Guessed 62 Latour.

From magnum with low shoulder fill. Dark ruby and opaque. Black cherries, forest floor, warm berry pie fruit in the nose. Very heavy and rich in the mouth. Everyone guessed 82 Bordeaux. If I'm judging, the perfectly balanced 55 Mouton tonite gets the slight edge because the fruit in the 59 Margaux was a bit more dominant than the less evident tannins, structure and acidity. Really good wine experience.

Near perfection! Very top shoulder into neck fill and she wooed us for an entire evening. Opened at Keiko with dear friends whom the lady said if she was a wine...this would be her 😊
