Very primary. Feels a little disjointed at this stage. Bought 2–will wait a year or so before opening the next.

Opened up over dinner. Smokey almost meaty, with cherry and red currant fruit. Chalky limestone aromas carry from the nose into the palate. Bright red fruits with hints of dark berries. Has a lovely earth and mineral driven character. Finishes with a touch of sappy sweetness. Well balanced, plenty of length, loads of old world charm. Brought back from the winery. Drink or hold.

Smooth, rich. Very subtle. Maybe should have waited longer before opening it. It did open up more the next day. It was kind of meh the first night.

Very subtle, ready to drink, medium bodied, but I’m going back to buy more!

Ripe and dried cranberry, red and black cherry, plum, raspberry and such. Vanilla, cloves and licorice. Dried rose petals. A pinch of dark earth. A dash of horse stable and wet hay. Chalky, fine tannins. High alc. So so on its own. Very good with olive/ red pepper / chicken / couscous dinner.

Delicious and rich. Smooth and balanced. Definitely a wine to have with a good steak. For 26.95 at lawc it’s a real bargain. Would definitely get again.

Not especially fruit forward on the nose, but nice spiciness on the finish. Black cherry and plum with balanced minerality.
