80% Merlot with equal parts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Very ripe red fruit (strawberry, raspberry) and soft tannin. Charming and good value at 14 euros. Abv. 14,5 %.

Scorched earth, dried herbs and rotten berry fruit, tannin abound and a lengthy, weighty finish.

Middle of the road Bordeaux. Next time I have a Macquin, I hope it has "Pavie" in the name.

Vintage 2012 - lovely red summerfruit in smell and a surprisingly smooth taste. Drinking this wine is a joy!

Medium cherry with ruby tinges. Leathery, fresh cedar, vanilla, hints of plum and sour cherry on the nose. Medium bodied with med acid, slightly astringent tannins. Aromas carry through on the palate nicely. Drinkable now but structured for some more age.

Easy drinking right bank. Velvety tannins, good structure, rustic fruit.

Nice blend, nice structure. Tastes great right after opening, now curious how this wine evolves. Couple hours later, it's beautifully smooth and silky. Quite remarkable actually. Goes great with the Burgundy Tri Tip fresh of the grill.
