Château Los Boldos
Grande Reserve Cachapoal Valley Carménère
Cachapoal Valley, Rapel Valley, Central Valley, Chile
Medium Ruby with faint aromas of blue and red fruits. On the palate of this simple wine flavors of plum and blackberry with notes of oak and toast. Medium finish, harsh grippy tannins ending spicy. Pass, Tasting Sample.

Jan 16th, 2020Well balanced carmenere from Chile. Dark fruit upfront with nice acidity that then turns to silky tannins. Some earthy tones but not tons. Very long finish.

Had it with a pork tenderloin. Quite tasty. Less peppery than I've had with other carmenere. Darker berries.
