Nose is rich and complex, and morphs over time. Intense cherry candy/syrup, blueberry pie and baking spice, pencil shavings and cigar box, and some bell pepper. Medium body, med+ acidity, medium tannins and a moderate finish. Everything is in balance and overall this is a very pretty and harmonious bottle. Look forward to stashing a few and coming back throughout the next few years.

Smells like the creek bank and a cherry. It’s contradictorily complex yet sorta short on the flavor side. More fruit and some bitter French stuff. Tannins are extreme. Campfires and ashes.

Yep, that's a Trader Joe's snag. Jaded me expected a fruity and simple style, knowing nothing about this château. Turns out its pretty traditional with good herbal cut and a touch of funk on the palate. Lovely along side our cheesesteaks last night.

Black cherry, with toasty oak, cigar box and forest floor. Smooth and supple. Good structure and backbone. $18 at Trader Joe's. Great QPR. Stock up.

This is not quite the steal it once was but still the best QPR by miles at Trader Joe’s. A nice right bank Bordeaux with acidic cherries, pencil shavings, vegetal notes, and grippy tannins.

Not complex. Easy drinking Merlot forward red. Considering lacking acid it’s holding up well.

This wine was just OK. It’s flavors were surprisingly light with plum, strawberries, and a hint of tobacco and oak as some other reviewers have mentioned. It went well with Prime New York steaks and lobster for my dad’s 87th birthday. Possibly i didn’t do a good enough job storing it in the first few years I had it, before I got my wine fridge. Anyway, a nice first venture into ageing Bordeaux wines. And the price couldn’t be beat as other reviewers noted - $19 approximately at Trader Joe’s.

2009 vintage. Dark ruby. Cherry, blueberry, oak, herbs. Opened up after about an hour, but still had a bit of an acidic bite in the finish. 13% ABV. Good value from Trader Joe’s.
