St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend

Dry tannins. Dry cocoa. Very little fruit and it’s young-ish. Medium length finish. Un-mistakingly Bordeaux… but a solid just ok.

Decanted for dinner for :45. Could have used another hour. Very young and tight. Elements of cherry, cocoa, fig started to appear as she opened up.

[65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon] Medium-dark purple color, mineral and dark fruit aromas and flavors, also quite structured and tight, very good depth and length, drinks well but seems to want another 5-10 years of cellaring (2016 vintage effect?). . . .

Excellent value. Smooth lush dark fruit, tobacco and leather flavors. 65% merlot, 20% Cabernet franc, and 15% Cabernet sauvignon.
