I regret not aging this longer! But my friends and I loved it. Blackberries, dried herbs, plums. Great structure. Just a delicious wine. I think it’s a good value for $45ish.

Medium ruby , thin slightly pink ruby rim . Quite dark fruit with cassis , blackberry , grafite . On the palate quite ripe and juicy , but with good balance , slightly gritty but ripe tannins , good cassis tinged , grafite finish . Overall this shows well , with good density and juiciness , sweet but importantly with a very balanced , refreshing personality. Enjoyable now , fruit forward , but no doubt can age well over the next 10 years. Enjoyable and moreish .

Has everything except the deep earthy low notes, which always seem to be missing from Beaucaillou wines. It even has a good acidity to satisfy the pros, whether it was adjusted or not. May be too polished and immediate rather than restrained and subtle.
